Human Trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery and a major public health problem both domestically and internationally. The states of Florida and Michigan now require registered nurses to complete training and education to help identify and report victim activity. Case managers, nurses and social workers are often the first professionals to interact with victims of human trafficking in hospital emergency rooms and health care settings. Learn More
Give Kids The World
Every year in August, on the Saturday leading into the WCI360 Conference in Orlando, several of our team members volunteer in an industry-wide service project for Give Kids the World. We enjoy participating in the community of industry stakeholders that come together for this important volunteering project organized by WCI. After a hard day of working in the Florida summer heat for a great cause, we attend WCI’s gala dinner and silent auction to benefit GKTW. MTI America is a proud sponsor of the "Castle of Miracles."
From the WCI website: Give Kids The World Village is an 84-acre, nonprofit resort in Central Florida that provides weeklong, cost-free vacations to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. The Village and its community partners provide children and their families accommodations in fully-furnished villas, transportation, tickets to theme parks, meals, daily entertainment and much more.
