Summary:

The Bilingual Care Coordinator provides telephonic interpretation assistance to worker’s compensation claimants, insurance carriers, attorneys, medical doctors, and claims professionals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Adress incoming departmental emails and answer phone calls from adjusters, case managers, attorneys and provides Spanish/English interpretation over the phone.
  • Connect multiple callers to conference calls with subcontracted interpreters.
  • Close and prepare all telephonic interpretation appointments for billing and Assists with interpreters’ invoice reconciliation.
  • Assist with scheduling on-site interpreters for future and same-day appointments.
  • Coordinate patient reservations for interpretation services and make outbound calls to confirm interpreter’s appointments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Must be fully bilingual and proficient in English and Spanish.
  • Minimum 1 year of Interpreting experience preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent phone etiquette.
  • Ability to provide outstanding Customer-centric service.
  • Basic medical terminology is preferred.
  • Ability to multitask, organize and prioritize work.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Team player mentality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment without compromising attention to detail and work quality.
  • Computer literacy (Outlook, Word, and Excel).

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Utilizes fluorescent lighting; noise level is moderate. For the most part ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office.
