Summary:

The Transportation Coordinator monitors and effectively schedules trips in a cost-effective manner. Primary responsibilities include assigning drivers to transport claimants, coordinating drivers according to customer requests in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Job responsibilities:

  • Review assigned appointments to ensure that the trip was assigned to meet MTI America’s standard.
  • Ensure that the dispatcher receives all area trips assigned to taxi companies, drivers, wheelchair, and stretcher companies for faxing by 12:00 am.
  • Monitor and communicate any changes and cancellations to relevant parties for the next day or week out, ensuring any gaps are filled while assigning all pending add-ons.
  • Meet daily productivity of 150 plus accurately assigned transports and maintains week-out scheduling while preventing and addressing any potential management failures.
  • Maintain and builds positive business relationships with Drivers, Vendors, and Customers.
  • Communicate all areas needing drivers and follow up to ensure gaps are filled.
  • Responsible for preauthorization of all Dead Miles and Bonuses.
  • Assists team in areas of need, i.e., outbound calls and inbound calls as needed.
  • Ensures that all open trips are closed out at the end of the workday, and all special appointments result in successful transport.
  • Communicates all stretcher fees to accounting and copy relevant parties.

Skills and Expertise:

  • 1-3 years of Scheduling experience, preferably in the transportation field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Highly organized, accurate and detail oriented.
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills required.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly motivated self-starter.
  • High level of customer service with a focus in customer satisfaction.

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Hearing, vision, and talking. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability see things from a close distance and ability to adjust focus.
  • Utilizes fluorescent lighting; noise level is moderate. For the most part ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office.
